Another rainy day today. It's only in the low 60s. We're not due for a rain break until tomorrow afternoon through the daylight hours of Thursday, then another round comes through Thursday night with heavier rain for Friday.
It's a home day here. Should sort the laundry in a while and go to the laundromat tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping to get up to Joann's Thursday after lunch. Later the pails of tree branches will go to the curb for tomorrow's pickup.
I see Rite Aid is filing for bankruptcy again and will close or sell all its stores. We have a Rite Aid here in town. The retail landscape is getting to be bleak. Not too many retail chain are doing well enough to expand. Barnes and Noble is one of the rare bright spots as they're opening new stores since more people are reading again. The new owners of recently defunct chain Big Lots are planning to reopen some stores too. I'm not sure if the Big Lots location here in town is one of the places set to reopen though. The new CEO of Kohl's was fired for inappropriate behavior so we'll have to see what his replacement plans to do to improve the stores. They really need to get rid of the Sephora section and the Buy Buy Baby stuff, bring back the women's petite clothing section and the jewelry section, ditch the expansion of small electronics and re-expand the selection of bedding and towels they carry in-store.
