It's currently drizzling, humid, in the low 70s. The worst of last night's storms bypassed us. Just some rain and distant thunder and lightning as the worst went east and west of here. My sister was having dinner with friends in a neighboring town southwest of here, so they did experience the heavier rain and lightning in that area.

More thunderstorms are expected in the area this evening. With the weather instability I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow afternoon instead of today. Tomorrow they're expecting the worst later at night with just stray showers during daylight hours. Now they're saying things are going to be showery and stormy on and off through Thursday and the weather won't be better until next Friday. Oh, joy. That means not driving up to Joann's until the end of the week. I'm not sure when I'm going back to the laundromat.

Just a home day here getting ready for the new week. The recycling needs sorting but if it's going to be too wet tomorrow night I'm just going to put the cans and bottles out to the curb and take the paper and cardboard recycling up to the center myself later this week. The rain would just turn the paper and cardboard into a mushy mess.

I did make a major dent in that fallen tree limb with lots of branches on it. It's slow going manually cutting branches with a hand saw with my arthritis. It's a hard wood to begin with- oak. My wrist is sore today from that.

I never did hear back from the third roofing company with an estimate so I'll call the other company back we were thinking of going with this week to get into the particulars. Their website doesn't mention if they take credit cards, PayPal, Zelle, etc.
