always something to do when you have a yard

Lol, you are not kidding. After lunch I'll have to see if I can finish cutting that tree limb if the neighbors don't park themselves at the property line again. Some time soon I'll need to trim the backyard forsythia bushes.

It's humid, in the mid 70s headed for the mid 80s. The thunderstorms are supposed to come later tonight with a cold front. Days of showers will definitely mean mowing the lawn again soon. I try to pivot the lawnmower to avoid cutting down the clusters of African violets. That South Jersey forest fire is still burning and there's a smaller forest fire in Northwest Jersey. They definitely need the rain there.

Just a home day here. I've been working on my granny squares a bit more this morning. I haven't had too much time for them lately. When I went to the other supermarket yesterday they didn't have my shampoo either, the Dove Oxygen Weightless Moisture shampoo for people with oilier scalps and roots but dryer hair away from the head, prone to split ends (and tangling). Well, I pulled out my cell phone and checked online- Dove discontinued this shampoo and conditioner. I still have plenty of the conditioner at home, but am low on the shampoo so I had to run a Google search for similar shampoos and compare the results to what the store has in stock since they cut their haircare products offerings in half. Fortunately I found one product the store stocks and grabbed a bottle to test it out.

This is the second personal care product that I use and like which I recently discovered was discontinued by the manufacturer. Some of the manufacturers are simply cutting back their product lines now, plus some stores are cutting back on the shelf space for certain products, so the choices are decreasing. Plus some things are only available online and maybe just available locally at Walmart, whose stores are out of my way so I only go to Walmart on rare occasions.

With Joann's closing I am actually going to have to stop by Walmart to look for full skeins of Red Heart yarn that color match to some of the colors in the granny squares skeins for the Tunisian crochet panels I'm planning for the center and ends of this afghan. My local Michael's stores only have an extremely limited selection of Red Heart yarn in stock.
