It's mostly sunny and in the 70s. Road work on the main street has forced traffic down our street including buses. One of the telephone/electric wires wooden poles on our street was replaced earlier. The kids just got out of school a little while ago, so busy, busy neighborhood.
The supermarket at the shopping center didn't have my shampoo nor the cat's favorite canned cat food, the Fancy Feast shredded with the cheese bits and he's nearly out, so I need to make a quick trip to my regular supermarket in a few minutes. There have been ongoing supply chain issues with the Fancy Feast with cheese bits since last fall. I also need to stop by the post office since we got a piece of someone else's mail, a bill, who lives in another part of town. It got itself stuck to one of our monthly bills.
When I get back if the weirdos aren't along the fence yelling I'll try to finish cutting up that tree limb. The rain showers start later tonight and we're due for showers on and off through Tuesday with the potential for thunderstorms and heavy downpours. Now they're warning about potential flooding issues with this. We could get more showers next Thursday and maybe next Friday as well. Next week, the only completely rain free day may be Wednesday. I'm hoping to drive back up to Joann's sometime soon, one last time before the store closes permanently. But I'm not driving up there in stormy weather. It involves taking three different highways to get there with a lot of traffic. I want to see what they have left with their Big Twist yarns, and their offerings in the Canon and Red Heart brands. I still need a second skein of the Red Heart granny squares yarn in the shades of green and aqua color scheme. It's pricey to buy a skein on Amazon. Plus I was going to look for more of their K+C wool yarn for my sister in Virginia since all the Virginia and Maryland Joann's stores closed permanently last week. There's no news yet on which company will take over their K+C yarns brand. They have both 100% wool and 100% cotton yarn lines in about a dozen or so colors. My sister is a fan of their wool yarn.
I stopped by Kohl's for my delivery yesterday. I haven't had a chance to try on the navy blue with white polka dots skirt yet. They had a rather pretty Simply Vera Wang midi circle skirt in indigo blue that faded to white near the bottom hem. I still have gift card money and will keep an eye out on the sales for that one. Target's skirts went off sale which is a shame since the A New Day line has a couple of pretty ones. I was looking at a peach colored maxi circle skirt and their white midi circle skirt yesterday. They're $30 each but had been on sale for $21. Oh, well.
