Heidi, I wonder how the tarrifs are effecting the hospital's discretionary budget for things like buying the yarn. They need to focus on the craft store sales. The Joann stores are emptying out their warehouses in a hurry to sell everything in the stores since they need to shut everything down by this time next month.

Speaking of yarn, Herrschner's online craft supply store will be the new seller of the Big Twist yarns from Joann's. No announcement yet of who will now sell Joann's K+C cotton and wool yarn line.

It was bright sun this morning with clear skies but a sun and clouds mix now. It's in the 70s. The winds are set to change direction tonight into tomorrow and will drive the smoke from the South Jersey wildfire up here tomorrow. We're not due for rain until Friday evening into all day Saturday. Currently the fire is only 40% contained. It's windy and humidity is low so that's not helpful.

Another roof contractor came this morning and gave a second estimate. We'll have to make a decision soon. This one is offering a lower rate, but we'll have to paint the trim ourselves if we go with them.

My sister took our cat to the free rabies vaccine clinic up at City Hall. Our veterinarian is now the city vet as a side job.
