Definitely not a day for going to the laundromat. I'll probably go Wednesday. It will be sunny by then.
Heidi, do people donate money to the hospital which is used to pay for the yarn they give you?
I did go to Michael's yesterday. The smaller of the two local stores. Their selection of Red Heart yarn was small and only solid colors. All the yarn is on sale for 30% off. I bought a couple of skeins of their Loops and Threads line- a pounder sized skein in black for my granny afghan, plus a couple of their variegated yarns in shades of purple, and purple with grey for a future project. Between Joann's going out of business and the tarrifs situation this is the time to stock up on yarn for current and future projects.
Afterwards I just ran into Petco for a couple of things. The cat's 5th birthday is later this month. I was going to buy Nigel a cat throw blanket that's got the Sherpa lining on one side, but Petco was crowded and things had been rearranged so I'll have to go back another day for it. Last year I gave him catnip filled fabric fish toys with crinkle paper inside them that came from Amazon.
Today is a home day. I have to put the recycling out to the curb later for tomorrow's pickup. I hope they are faster tomorrow at picking it up than the garbage men were today. We were towards the end of the trash pickup route today and they didn't take the trash until after 1 pm. Normally they're here no later than 7:30 and frequently come before the sun rises.
