It's mostly sunny and in the mid 40s. It's only supposed to go up to 50 degrees later. We're due to get rain showers tonight. Tomorrow it will get back up into the mid 70s just for one day, but we'll get thunderstorms tomorrow night with another cold front. It's supposed to be rollercoaster temps and storm systems through the weekend.

I'm still coughing, still congested, still have throat issues. I wish this cold would finally quit. It definitely not as bad as it was but it's been almost two weeks already. I hate when these things linger. I'm taking the antibiotics through Friday to keep this out of my lungs.

I have to drive to the Home Depot this afternoon. The toilet's flush valve is acting up. Something went pop in it the other day and it's loud when the tank fills now. I had to adjust the tube that carries the water in the tank the other day because it was drippy for a while after flushing, causing the toilet to run a little, resulting in occasional phantom flushes. Those plastic flush valves always wind up needing replacing every 'x' number of years. I plan to get a spare set of tank bolts as well. The current ones look like they're getting wear from being underwater and those things need replacement every so often too so I want another set on hand.

The birds emptied out the feeders so I need to add another two days worth of food for them as well. It's much simpler having a big seed feeder and only having to fill it every other day. Since the seed feeder is slower to empty more birds focus on it instead of emptying out the peanut feeder right away. Because the seed feeder is heavier it doesn't get blown about on the sheppard's hook on windy days.
