We had a dry cold front come through so now it's in the 50s during today. Tomorrow the high will only be in the 40s. The air is very dry, very low humidity which is why we have been getting yellow flag medium fire danger alerts all week. There have been some brush fire problems both here in NJ and over in NY in the Bronx and Long Island. This had been bad for my sinuses so I'm trying to avoid a full blown sinus infection. No rain again until the weekend. I'm getting a lot of sinus pressure and it's making me feel worn down and tired.
Just a home day here. I should just run to the ATM later for some cash. I only just have a ten dollar bill left in my purse. Lol, that's not very much. I still have to sort out the yarn stash. I had put most of the skeins in one of those clear zip up blanket tote bags from IKEA. I have to take a picture of my sister's yarns to send to her then stick them in a separate storage bag.
My orthopedist appointment near Joann's is next Tuesday so I should stop by Joann's afterwards to see what they got in since they're getting different colors of yarn from the warehouses. Last time I bought a couple of skeins of a white and shades of light and medium blue ombre I had never seen before. I wish they'd get more skeins of the Caron yarn in the sunset ombre. I made the mistake of only buying one skein last month and they were sold out so far this month. The color scheme has a subtle 1970s look to it. My sister lives in Alexandria, Virginia and last weekend she drove up to a Joann's in Maryland for her yarn haul. I'm not sure if she's thinking about stopping by there or another area location again soon. All the warehouses have to be emptied out and all the remaining stores emptied and shut down by mid May.
All the yarn is 25% off. It's terrible how expensive yarn has gotten so everyone is going crazy for these sales. It's also sad that buying yarn in physical stores is becoming more difficult and people are being forced to buy more of it online. It's the same thing with sewing and other crafts. The cost of supplies keeps going up, up, up, and there are fewer craft stores around these days. It's definitely bad for people who sew. Some fabric is as high as nearly $20 a yard. The less expensive fabric is around $7 a yard. That's crazy.
