I actually first drove the spare blue Corolla for a time, going back and forth between it and my silver car, a couple of years ago, then went back to exclusively driving the silver Corolla until it died last year. So for me I'm also back to using a car I drove a few years back. I like Corollas, especially the older models. They're solid reliable cars with strong engines.
This afternoon I went back to Joann's and bought a wagonload of yarn for my sister and me. My sister went to her local Joann's today and did the same thing. The Joann's warehouses are being emptied out so the stores are getting more stock in. I was not the only shopper there buying a shopping cart's worth of yarn. I'll be back in the area later in the month when I go to see my foot and ankle orthopedist. We're spending more money than we should. But it's not easy getting a steady supply of a wide variety of yarns. My local Michael's stores have smallish yarn departments. Not all of the area Walmarts have a crafts department. It was our old A.C. Moore stores that had the bigger yarn departments with all kinds of yarn including eyelash and ribbon yarn. Now you have to buy the speciality yarns online from places like Amazon and they charge higher prices than the craft stores. It's a shame A.C. Moore went out of business. Now losing Joann's is another blow for crafters.
My sister hasn't purchased any fabric or sewing supplies at Joann's yet. She'll have to do that another day. Our mom used to sew and taught my sister how to make clothing when we were kids.
I went to one of the ShopRite supermarkets on the way home. They had the heat and eat vegetable egg rolls, and orange sesame chicken in stock so I picked up some to make for dinners. Very tasty.
