It's sunny, very windy and in the 40s. Yesterday was chilly, cloudy, and okay with the winds in the afternoon when I ran errands, but after dinner the winds picked up and there were high wind warnings issued that are still in effect until tomorrow. The winds just kept slamming against the house late last night and it got quite cold out. The furnace had to play catch up with the dry cold front slamming through. Before that we had days of afternoons in the low to mid 50s with lows in the 40s at night. Now it's back to the 40s during the day and 20s at night for a few days. The changes in barometric pressure with this front are making my knees ache.
It's a home day for me. Will try to get to Joann's tomorrow. I had been hoping to go today but my digestive system has been out of sorts lately, my IBS is flaring up a lot and it's been messing with my sleep a bit lately so I'm tired and sluggish. I'm eating more fiber and yogurt so hopefully that will help. Unfortunately digestive tract issues run in the family. My dad was plagued by this sort of thing for much of his adult life. My sister in Virginia deals with this too.
It will be a cooler weekend and cold at night but at least it's starting to look like spring is coming. There are more clusters of snowdrops popping up on the front lawn. Some of the shrubs are getting noticably bigger buds on them. We're due for temperatures in the 60s for a few days in the middle of next week. When it warms up I can drive to the park on the other side of town with the paved walking/jogging path to walk for exercise since my PT is finished for a while. My neighborhood isn't so great for walking with a cane since there are uneven sidewalks in spots due to the hills and slopes.
