In a while I'll take the bird feeders in from the backyard and store them in the basement so they don't get blown off the sheppard's hook later. They're both new feeders and I don't want them to get damaged.
I know it's supposed to stay windy through tomorrow but hopefully the worst of the wind gusts will end after the storm front moves through since it's garbage night tonight and I don't want to worry about the pail blowing away after they collect the garbage. Since they come in the middle of the night a lot of the time it's not like anyone is awake and alert to immediately grab the pail from the curb and put it up the driveway as soon as they empty it. For a while in the 1990s we had multiple years with periods of nasty destructive winds. Very gusty springs and early summers, very gusty late autumns, wind caused storm damage in the area. We seem to be back to that type of weather pattern again.
It's a home day here just taking care of typical housework. Not a good day for errands with this weather system about to plow through so I did the errands yesterday.
