We just had about an inch of snow fall yesterday morning. It didn't stick on the sidewalks and the roads were salted so it melted there. The winds were calm so it felt chilly but not bitter. I had my PT session yesterday afternoon. My local sister came by in the evening for a while. Since it's my birthday tomorrow she gave me one of those fluffy The Big One blankets from Kohl's with a cat print as a gift. This time of year you can never have too many blankets on hand.

Today it's sunny and finally made it up to 32 degrees, our high for the day. But it's been windy again with strong gusts slamming everything since later yesterday evening. That neighborhood Verizon phone junction box diagonally across the street wasn't locked properly and the wind is making the double doors on it repeatedly slam open and shut. I hear the banging every so often with the strongest wind gusts. Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday it may not go above freezing. This weather just makes me want to hibernate until spring.

I was going to run to the supermarket for dish soap and a few things, but don't feel like it with the wind chills. I should run the engine on the car though, just drive it around the neighborhood to keep the battery optimal in this cold snap. Maybe drive to the ATM to take out two singles for Thursday's Garden State Parkway toll when I go back to the knee orthopedist. I just have a couple of twenties in my purse and some coins. No singles.

It's just a home day for me, the break day between medical appointments.
