Heidi, sorry to hear about your pastor passing away. Throat cancer is pretty nasty business. Is your congregation planning to put out a 'pastor wanted' job advertisement?

It's sunny, cold and windy. It's been windy for days with bouts of strong gusts at times. The other day the wind gusts slamming against the house woke me several times during the night. My one sister is back home in northern Virginia and they're due for up to six inches of snow. Hopefully up here it will only be flurries to an inch. The forecast keeps changing though, so we'll see. Whatever falls will stick because it's only supposed to go up to 30 degrees tomorrow. If it winds up messy I'll have to change my PT appointment to Tuesday. After tomorrow it should be dry until next weekend.

Yesterday I grocery shopped and went to the laundromat. Today is just a home day with one fast errand in a while. I have to get things set for the new week. My local sister is planning to stop by later to drop off a few things. I think she was contemplating staying here for a few days since the other house has a mediocre heating system and insulation, and her bedroom gets chilly during cold snaps. But my other sister's SUV is parked part way up the driveway and I'm parked between that and the edge of the front sidewalk. No room there for my local sister's SUV, which is larger. I know she's not going to want to park on the street overnights. I don't want to park there either.

I should pre-treat the porch steps and sidewalk with ice melt later to help keep some of the snow from sticking. Hopefully we won't get any sleet with this storm.
