It did finally go above freezing yesterday afternoon, after the morning snow ended. The sun came out and it got into the upper 30s. I was able get my errands run yesterday afternoon since the snow melted off the roads. They had a yarn sale at Michaels so I picked up a few skeins since I'm trying to get back to knitting and crocheting.
I stopped by CVS and they had tubs of the Red Bird peppermints so I bought one. It was only half the cost of buying a tub from Amazon. Since they're a made by a family owned business in North Carolina you don't normally see them carried in stores up here. They were in the Seasonal aisle with the other Christmas candy. I should buy another tub before they sell out.
One of my nieces from out west called, but it seemed purely out of boredom though so it wasn't a pleasant conversation. I rarely hear from her anymore. I never hear from the others. None of us out here do. This is my oldest sister's (who passed away a little over 20 years ago) family.
Yesterday evening was watching the typical Tuesday PBS mysteries followed by the Yule Log with Christmas music carried on one of the PBS stations.
My local sister is back at her other place and had dinner last night with friends who always throw elaborate Christmas Eve dinner parties. Tonight she's having dinner with her housemate. I had asked her to stop by this afternoon for her gifts but she probably won't since my other sister is here and the two are still intentionally avoiding each other.
Christmas dinner is the rest of all the food made for last night's dinner with bakery chocolate cake for desert. The supermarkets all sold out of their bakery pumpkin pies days ago.
Tomorrow is back to the usual daily grind. I have PT in the afternoon and my sister is teleworking all day.
