With this orthopedist office it's awkward wearing skirts or dresses, with cotton leggings you take off for the exam/treatment then put back on. I did this the first time and the doctor started whipping my legs and knees around like crazy while I was lying down on the exam table to test their flexibility. He gave me no advanced warning he planned to do this either. Because I had worn leggings I took off I just had on underwear without slip shorts on top of the undies. My midi skirt kept riding up my thighs. Awkward and embarrassing. This place doesn't offer patient exam gowns either. It's more about patients wearing wide legged pants that are easy to pull up to your thighs, or shorts, or being bare legged if wearing a skirt or dress apparently, to get your knees examined and treated. The first visit I wound up awkwardly putting my leggings back on in the restroom afterwards. The second visit it was in the upper 50s and I wore a winter weight maxi skirt so I was able to go bare legged with slip shorts. But it's now too chilly and windy to wear a skirt bare legged. So I now have two pairs of the wide legged joggers I can wear to see the knee orthopedist, plus they're good for my PT sessions as well. Maybe if Kohl's has them on a good sale again I'll get a third pair.
