Heidi, I haven't mowed the lawn since July with the drought. The winds picked up again last night so the smoke and haze from the wildfire up-county into lower NY state is back. The humidity dropped as well. The smokey smell is back in the house too. I woke up to it this morning. There's only a very slight chance of light showers Thursday but they're thinking no actual rain for us until the middle of next week. Back to hand watering the plants and shrubs outside.

I went to my foot and ankle orthopedist appointment this afternoon. My PT ends next week so she gave me a new script to continue. I go back to her in two months for her to evaluate my progress. She may order custom orthotics inserts for my shoes. It depends on how things go. She's trying to avoid surgery because it would be major surgery and I'd been out of commission mobility wise and it would be difficult functioning in a multi-story house with lots of steps while recovering.

Tomorrow I should get the oil changed in the car since it's my only medical appointment-free day until Saturday but the gas station in only open for servicing until noon and only sells gas on Sundays.
