We have applesauce in the house for Apple Day. It got up to the low 80s this afternoon and is still 80 degrees. It will drop down rapidly this evening, but will be warm again, close to 80 degrees, tomorrow and Wednesday. The cool down starts Thursday. By next Monday it will be only be in the upper 50s during the day. No rain here. There is a forest fire in Rockaway Township, in Morris County which is west and slightly south of here. There is only a slight chance of widely scattered light showers later this week with the cold front. But real rain is nowhere in sight for us.

I dropped of the jury duty form at the doctor's office and will pick it up tomorrow afternoon after PT since both offices are on the same road. I wish NJ was like Georgia and didn't hassle people with chronic health conditions when it comes to jury duty. There's no way I can comfortably sit still in a chair like that for hours at a time. With my asthma even wearing a mask I can't be crowded into a jury waiting room with hundreds of unmasked people all day long during cold and flu season either.

On my way home I gassed up the car for the week. I've got the recycling at the curb and will fill the bird feeders for tomorrow's bird breakfast soon. My sister is off taking a walk at one of the parks. She's staying until late week. She bought craft supplies at Michaels and made a Halloween decoration for the front door with a spider web, spiders and faux leaf fronds with dark beads. It came out really nicely. At her VA home she also makes seasonal decorations for her front door. She's one of those people who spent Covid lockdown doing lots of craft projects.

I miss doing crafts projects. I really need hand PT/OT so I can do crafts projects again. I have lost a lot of the dexterity for manipulating objects, so it's awkward trying to make my hands and fingers work properly to do the fine motor movements to knit and do beadwork/jewelry making.
