We got our quarterly property tax statement for now into next summer last week. Property taxes in NJ have been a nightmare ever since the state changed how the school systems are funded 20+ years ago. It used to be the state kicked in far more of their revenue to fund the schools. Now 80% of the funding come from property taxes. It used to be around 30%.

It's cloudy, mild in the 70s and humid. I opened a couple of windows to let the warmth in. The house had gotten a bit chilly from the past few cooler days and nights. We had some much needed gentle soaking rain earlier. We're at an over three and half inch deficit on rainfall for the month so this helps a little. My sinuses aren't happy though. My sinus infection is not getting better. I have swollen glands in my neck. So I have an appointment with my primary care doctor scheduled for tomorrow. I'll need another round of antibiotics. I need to nip this in the bud because it's making me feel tired, achy, and run down and I have to start physical therapy after I see the foot and ankle orthopedist early next week.

It's a home day for me taking care of things around the house. I'll grocery shop after my doctor's appointment tomorrow. Their office is close to the store where I do most of my food shopping.

I talked to my sister from VA on the phone last night. Her colonoscopy went fine. They removed a couple of very small benign polyps and that was it. Still no news about the job she interviewed for but she should hear something soon since it's nearly the end of the month and they need their new hire to start soon.

I haven't heard anything from my sister here in town since she stopped by last week to pick up the suitcase for her weekend educational workshop. Lol, that's typical for her though.
