It's sunny and headed to 80 degrees. But we're due for a cool-down late week with highs only in the low 70s with overnight lows in the 50s. I'll have to water the plants again later since there won't be showers until Tuesday evening. It hasn't rained in over a week. It's soon going to be time to flush out the boiler and add fresh water to it. In another 3-4 weeks the heat will need to be on at night. Leaves are already turning colors on the local dogwoods and a few other species of trees. There are a few reddish leaves on our crabapple tree. The spice bushes already have next year's leaf buds on them.

I have a few medical related phone calls to make this afternoon. I've been lying down resting my ankles after taking care of the morning chores. My left ankle is very stiff and aches much of the time. I'll have to scarf down some Tylenol. My sister is teleworking. We'll probably go out shopping after dinner. Maybe hit Costco again before she leaves tomorrow evening. I saw they're raising the membership fee by another five dollars so it's up to $65 a year for basic membership. My sister shops there pretty frequently. To me it feels weird buying in bulk but I mainly get practical household things like toilet paper and paper towels. I can't see myself buying giant bottles of mayonnaise or ketchup. I just don't use that much. But they have tasty bakery food.
