It's so early for school to be starting already. Here they usually go back right after Labor Day. One year some of the school systems went back in August and parents were very angry since August is still family getaway vacation time. The school in my neighborhood is still doing their summertime sports program where the kids are there in the mornings two days a week for basketball and soccer.

There has been a tornado watch since 6 am that extends to 10 pm. The winds really picked up this morning. Lower NY state had a tornado warning and the tv weather people are keeping an eye on what's going on up there. There's been some rotation in western NJ, but not enough to upgrade the watch to a warning. We're due to get a heavy line of rain and wind in a while. It was chilly and damp in the 60s yesterday but the temperature and humidity spiked overnight. We had showers on and off all day yesterday with fog for a while last night. The humidity level in the house is 82%. I shut all the windows. This is all the remnants of Debby.

Obviously I'm not going out for shopping or errands today. Just have to keep an eye on everything.
