But we have serious municipal government incompetence to blame. The former mayor decided to not run for re-election and took another job. The new mayor is a womanizing idiot. There were only two people with brains in their heads on the city council but unfortunately one of them died of cancer last winter. The other one left is book smart but unfortunately doesn't have good emotional intelligence. She's verbally abrasive and mouthy, picks too many arguments. So the budget is all screwed up for this year and they're raising revenue by jacking up the property taxes among other things.
