No real possibility of scattered showers until tomorrow, with a better chance by Thursday when the remnants of Beryl meet up with a system in the Ohio Valley and head eastward in a few days. I've watered the potted plants on the side of the house. Will water in front later. The grass here is turning yellow in the heat with too little rain so I don't need to mow. The only people mowing are the ones with lawn sprinkler systems they have set to water daily or every other day.
They had the fireworks last night. My sister went down to the park to watch it. She said there were a lot of people at the park. But none of them parked on our street to walk down. I expected traffic because that's been the norm, but maybe fewer people showed up than would have been if the fireworks hadn't been postponed until last night and they had held it on or closer to the 4th. Sunday night post-holiday is an awkward time for families with young kids to go see fireworks because the parents want to get little kids to bed early since they would be going to daycare or summer programs first thing Monday morning.
It's a home day for me. My sister may stop by later to go through a few things of hers. She only stayed here a short time after watching the fireworks yesterday. Tomorrow is PT. My last scheduled week. I'll have to ask if my physical therapist filed paperwork with my HMO to extend it for another six weeks.
