I shut the windows and the blinds before bed last night to help keep the house cooler and am running a fan in the living room. So it's been 80 degrees inside the house all afternoon. When the temps drop into the 70s tonight I'll open up a couple of windows for a couple of hours. Since we have tall shade trees on all sides of house the thermometer on the front porch read 89 this afternoon. But the thermometer reading on the electronic message board outside one of the municipal government buildings I drove past this afternoon that has no shade read 93.

The humidity is up a bit but the serious humidity doesn't get here until Thursday. The PT place had the air conditioner running but I still broke out into a sweat anyway. Afterwards I stopped by the supermarket for a few things. I watered the outdoor plants yesterday evening and will do so again this evening. Now the tv meteorologists are thinking we might get some cooling pop up showers Thursday evening and/or Friday afternoon. That would be nice. We could use some rain at this point.
