It's been cloudy all day. The afternoon high wound up being 83 instead of the predicted 90. That cold front with the heavy rain is due here soon. I can hear thunder in the distance. We just have light rain at the moment. It's already storm cloud dark skies and windy. One of the electric wires across the street on the pole failed with sparks and small flames. The gas and electric company repair people were quickly able to replace the bad line before the storm so our electricity is back on.

My sister is driving up late tonight so the storms should be gone by the time she hits the Garden State Parkway in South Jersey.
