Yes. I notice it most when walking up and down the stairs in the evenings. Normally by the evenings I would have serious muscle fatigue issues and resulting steadiness problems. Sometimes I would nearly trip myself up the steps. But I'm doing noticably better since they're focused on building muscle strength at my knees and ankles, plus focusing on improving my balance. So yeah, it really does help and I'm glad I'm doing it.
In the fall I want to see if I can get into occupational therapy with a hand therapist again to work on the hand arthritis issues. Last time I had hand therapy was 10 years ago. I spent the bulk of my life since childhood happily doing all sorts of arts and crafts projects with excellent dexterity in my hands. But now my hands are definitely much worse. I don't want to completely lose the ability to do anything creative with my hands for as long as possible. Crochet is okay, but knitting is very hard now when I want to do the more complex stitch designs. I also miss doing the beading and jewelry making stuff. I still have all my beading supplies and definitely want to get back to this.
