70 over cast going to rain. later on tv said. i been out to feed critters.  all waiting. they had dumped over water so filled them up and the bird bath too with rain water. so bucket empty  from rain water catching more.

yesterday cut the last of the kale. i thought i did this last month but the stump of one grew more so we are having kale again. i see some giant  beets. thought i pulled them all last month too.
 I Have ham hocks in with the kale this will be lunch when i think of more. its daughters day to come to lunch. she comes 2 times a week has for years.

Made carrot cake yesterday . only thing wrong with this is grading the carrots. taked arm power. have not tasted it. no icing on it . figure i can do with out icing.if it would not be for daughter coming to lunch would forget to cook bigger meals.

its cleaning morning and i will be hard at it. a friday thing

looking for legless lizard i rescued out of fish pond yesterday. did not know if dead of alive but i see its gone so it was alive. one of the longest i seen over a foot long.as i was cleaning fish filters i see it. head out of water. did not now what it was at first. looked like a stick. so got net and got it out. most think they are snakes but they are not

used to have lots of different birds here too when woods across the street
