It's been on and off rain showers since yesterday evening. It's a damp raw day. Only 52 degrees and will go down to the mid 40s later. It's going to be a chiller weekend with bouts of showers just like last weekend. These rollercoaster temperatures of 80 degrees days followed by colder spells are playing havoc with shrubbery and plant blooming. The lilacs should just be blooming now, but instead bloomed two weeks ago but last weekend's cool spell and heavy rain made all the blossoms drop off. The one bleeding hearts plant already lost its blooms and the blooms are quickly fading on the other. One of the irises is already blooming and that shouldn't happen until June. The across the street neighbors have several shrubs that normally bloom in June that already have flowers.
