I have a nasty flare up with chest wall pain that's gone to full blown costocondritis so my back is now tight and hurting as well. I cancelled my PT appointment and took an afternoon nap instead. It's the result of having been on the steroid pills earlier this month. They temporarily reduce the chest wall inflammation issues then it comes back rebounding in spades to bad flare ups for weeks afterwards once the pills are stopped. My PT is a bit intense and some of the 'homework' exercises are stressing already sore muscles. It's a perfect storm of pain and fatigue. When I go to my next session the physical therapist needs to redesign my exercise program so it puts less pressure on my lower torso muscles, chest wall, and spine. They should focus more on my knees, feet and ankles.
