Thirty three years we had that car in my family. I could have bought the special vintage car license plates for it if I wanted to. But it had the older nicer looking blue and cream colored plates which I've kept, that the state is thinking about bringing back.
In the afternoon I had my podiatrist appointment, and he was running late so it was a short appointment. But very importantly he approved an MRI for my ankles and feet to see the extent of internal damage from the arthritis. The MRI is scheduled for two weeks from now. I go back to the rheumatologist next Monday so I have to try to talk her into adding my knees, hands and wrists to the MRI scan.
Rush hour traffic started earlier than normal yesterday so I bypassed going to the supermarket there and just did the grocery shopping here in town this afternoon. The roads are being worked on here on my street and several nearby streets. New utility pipes are being installed underneath the middle of the roads. Right now it's new natural gas lines, then new water lines will be put in, some time in the future. But that meant the recycling pick up trucks couldn't get here. I'll have to drop off the recycling later this week. It's still just sitting in blue plastic containers in the front hall. Fortunately the garbage men come before dawn so the roadwork doesn't effect the garbage. Tomorrow's yard waste collection won't happen on this street either. They work on the roads from 7:30 am to 2 pm in order to not disrupt the school buses. I've been parking the car around the corner. Hopefully this will be done soon since the street I'm parked on will be closed for driving and parking Friday for the cross walk for the Catholic church around the corner, down the block from where I've been parking.
