thursday morn"
It's sunny but chilly. Most of the day it was in the 30s. It's just barely 40 now. It's been windy all day. Still feels more like February than the middle of March. We had cold light rain part of yesterday afternoon, then the bitter winds kicked in. The counties west of me are higher elevation so they got snow instead of rain. There was a puddle on one of the front porch steps that actually flash froze in the evening and I had to be mindful of it when I walked the last of the trash bags to the curb for this morning's trash pickup. Because of the dry air today and strong wind there is red flag high fire danger warning for parts of the state, but I don't think for my county though. We're supposed to have that nor'easter on Saturday with more heavy rain we don't need so we already have flood warnings. I keep on getting the alerts for this on my phone. Tomorrow I should get a few errands run since Saturday will be a mess. I made arrangements to sell the car for salvage. They'll pick it up Monday morning for cash. It will be sad to see it go. I already stopped by the station to get back the car keys because at first I wasn't sure if I'd get an appointment for the salvage yard to pick it up while the service station would be open.
