She wanted the back floor mats and an arm rest from my car to put in hers. I took a couple of things from the car as momentos including the plates and the front grill. Since my family was the original owners it still had the original license plates which are the blue background with cream colored numbers and letters. The older plates are nicer looking than the current yellow background with black numbers and letters so some drivers have held onto the older plates. The state is actually considering going back to the blue and cream license plates since they're more appealing to the eye. Because it's the weekend my mechanic isn't going to worry about getting a salvage company to take the car until some time this coming week, which is good since I have to catch up with the grocery shopping and get to the laundromat this weekend.
Plus I have a doctor's appointment with my new rheumatologist on Monday and that's a whole other issue since the doctors at this medical arts center are all associated with a North Jersey hospital that we don't go to since you have to deal with a lot of highway traffic to get there. That hospital just on our side of the Hudson River directly across from NYC but they've opened a handful of multi specialty physicians medical arts buildings in our area that take my HMO. But the rheumatologists there don't like to give the hyaluronic acid gel lubricant injections for knee OA which stinks. My knees get very stiff and the one knee fills with water so my old rheumatologist who moved up county used to give me the gel shots every six months. They not only help with pain and stiffness, they actually improve range of motion. I'm going to broach the subject of the gel injections with her again tomorrow, hoping I could change her mind. I have a new podiatrist there as well and he's the only podiatrist in the building but he's one of these new agey fad diet people who thinks I can make my swollen joints from the OA go away if I go on a no grain, no dairy diet and just eat mostly meat, fish, nuts and seeds with a small amount of fruits and veggies. I want these people to run the diagnostic tests to see how extensive the damage from the arthritis is, but in the long haul I will eventually switch to some orthopedics group who is pro hyaluronic acid gel injections in coordination with physical therapy and occupational therapy for my hand arthritis.
