The weird summer for my family continues- my sister who is recovering from the arm and wrist break now has shingles and is on antivirals. She was home the other day back when she didn't realize what the bumps on her neck were yet. She has had bad acne breakouts every so often for decades and even went through a bout of rosacea. But her doc confirmed yesterday it's shingles. She's staying at her friend's house, the one who was widowed last fall and likes having friends and relatives stay over to keep her company. Okay, so I'm almost totally sure I had chicken pox as a toddler, but I'm not completely 100% sure. My mom has memory issues. My dad's been gone nearly 30 years, my oldest sister who was in her early teens when I was born has been gone for 17. My other sisters were in the early grammar school grades when I was born and they don't remember, so no help to confirm there. So I went to the doctor today for a script to get blood drawn for an antibody test to confirm I did have it as a kid. I have an appointment for the blood draw tomorrow morning.

Beyond that I spent time visiting my mom, and am now doing the laundry.
