I've seen a rabbit in our backyard but I see them much more often up the block where some of the lawns have a lot more clover than we do. There are deer around here now. They no longer just stay up on the mountain. I had to quickly slow down while driving on one of our main roads in another section of town one day last week when a deer ran across the road in front of me.
I got most of the laundry done last night. I'll deal with the rest on the weekend. I have most of the household chores done but have to make myself a sandwich to take with me since I won't be home until later. It's sunny and in the mid 80s, but the skies are still hazy from the wildfires and we again have the air quality alerts. It still gets chilly at night but not cold enough to justify putting on the furnace. I wouldn't put the heat back on unless it went back down into the 40s, but that hasn't happened since earlier last week. Since it does go down into the 50s I'm still using a warm winter blanket. It feels chilly inside the house during the day, so I opened up several windows for the daytime hours to warm up the place and get rid of the stale indoor air. The house is surrounded by tall shade trees so the air quality is a little better here.
