I had to email Boardhost about what was going on last night since this is an active group posting benign content.

The answer I got was they considered the group abandoned because I haven't logged into the account for several years. I needed to dig out the password from a file on my laptop to log back in to get this place back up. I also emailed them back to tell them I only logged into my account if the rare spam post popped up and needed to be deleted and I never logged in just to make regular posts.

I have a free account not a paying one. I've seen paying account groups here (the ones with the custom color backgrounds) where new posts are rare, but they don't seem to get suspended as long as the group owner continues to pay. With my other group, the books/tv/films/music one, I logged in earlier this year to yank a couple of spam posts, but logged back in late last night just to be safe.
