sat out reading. yesterday along comes daughter with a turkey. they forgot they gave me one last year that was still in the freezer.. so now i have 2. they were buying groceries some place and if you buy over 30 dollars worth you get turkeys 45 cents a pound. this is a whopper bird. bigger then i ever buy. there is always pot pies and dog mouths. family never wants to take any home.
thumbing through cook book i see fried pies used to make. so i peeled apples and made filling. i will make batter and either bake or fry, daughter come to lunch. chicken and gravy, rice so far got to add to this
