After days with temps in the mid 70s, it only hit 60 degrees for while in the afternoon but spent much of the day in the 50s. I filled out my mail-in ballot and dropped it in the election mailbox several days ago. We have city council elections. The candidates run at large and the top vote getter becomes the mayor. We have the council/manager system and had the same city manager for a decade now. I only voted for two people since they are the candidates running to stop overdevelopment which is a major problem. Too many condo and townhouse subdivisions aimed at wealthier people are taking up all the open spaces in town. We're the garden state but we're now down to only three farms in town.

Today was recycling pick up day, but they only picked up the paper and cardboard and didn't take anyone's metal cans or plastic and glass bottles. I had to bag up the rest of our recycling and drop it off at the recycling center before dinner.
