It's all about not having my mom be alone in the house for any real length of time. She has arthritis and some memory issues. She also has some incontinence problems. I suspect my sisters fear the possibility of having to help her out in the bathroom if she needs to go if I'm out of the house for a couple of hours. The one who lives here in the house is self-employed as an artist, takes temp jobs from time to time, house sits/pet sits for people she knows and does some volunteer work. To avoid being at home she does her artwork at friends' houses while their off at work, especially friends with gig speed internet since she sells her artwork online. After dinner and on the weekends she's with friends.

My sister from Virginia is still mainly work from home with the occasional day at the office so when she visits she tags along with my other sister to the friends houses to use their high speed internet to telecommute. Evening and weekends, my sisters are out somewhere together. They pretty much ignore our mom, just can't be bothered.

So not only is it difficult for me to run needed errands it's rare for me to get to a doctor appointment for me. So here I am taking my mom to her medical appointments but I can't get medical care for myself because no one is willing to keep my mom company. If I get invited out by friends I can never go either. I haven't had a day off since my mom came home from inpatient rehab June of last year. My sisters went on a 10 day vacation together early last month
