I try and make sure the dog has a light snack or something on the morning of competition/hunting. Watch the dog, I carry treats/high calorie paste with me as well as glucose shots. Just in case. It's not a severe case, but I have had a couple of incidents that were scary. So, now I figure, better be safe then sorry.
