Mike Spies has taken his Wenaha Code Red dog off the circuit and has him at home. This is a real running setter that people should consider in their breeding program. Cody is a prairie type dog that should have been in Canada with a good scout to help work him. I have a son that is not running as big, but is throwing good puppies, so the blood will carry on. Any body with a good bitch who wants run should think hard about Cody. Im not talking about a big running shooting dog, but a prairie type all age. I can give you Mikes contact info. He is in Ca now, but going to Arizona this winter. I may go back to him myself. One of my Cody grandsons ran for 3 hours the other day and was still hopping at the end of it. If you looked at him you wouldn't think he could go 30 minutes. I don't think he weighs 35 pounds, but he ain't nothing but rawhide and bailing wire, with a brain and nose on the head end. Real running setters are fading out. We shouldn't let them die out entirely. Don't give me that bullshit about not needing a running setter any more.
Crockett Come Back was supper fast and about 55 lbs. Delbert Clancy from Lake Sallas TX ran him ,
