: Flushs Country Squire
: A Rambling Rebel
You are the last word on this subject Frank! You have forgotten more than most of us will ever know.
Still, I have a further question. Will you share with us what dogs you think best represent those three lines? Dogs that are currently at stud, I mean. I personally loved the Rebels that I saw at Killdeer back in the day. Tate Cline had a couple of good ones. They were classy birdfinders and they ran as big as the country. How could you not love them? And, imho, Guard Rail got his run from his maternal grandsire. His sire Smart was a good running dog but nothing like Guard Rail. IMMHO, Pork Roll was much more representative of that breeding.
When I was asked to recommend a shooting dog stud way back when, I would always mention Smart. Like recently I always say Thrillogy. My memory's not what it used to be but iirc, Smart had Fast Delivery behind him and Thrillogy has Rebel on his dam's side. Harry
