I can't tell you how long ago I heard the first iteraion of this - shortly after trackers came out I believe. Long enuf for several generations of bird dogs to grow up - have any of you seen seen it yet? I haven't, altho the best "found on point" I ever saw was when the bird planter found my old dog Counterdrive on the NE Ohio grounds on point in a snowstorm and by the time we got to him, he had an inch or more of snow piling up opn his back. And he hadn't lost a bit of style, head high and tail straight up. Gene walked in a flushed a small covet about 25 feet in front of his nose. And yes, he won the stake!
