I further modified that to:
"Nobody is really happy as the winning handler thought one of his other dogs should have been champion" ;-)
Most of us judge because we were asked and feel the need to give back. Others agree to judge my dogs so I feel I have to sit in the saddle for them every once in awhile.
Besides the fact that I usually learn something when I do sit in judgment and have to split hairs or work with my fellow judge to figure out what we've seen. You get to see great handling and not so great as you know and sometimes you utter under your breath, "Please let that dog go - don't stop the only cast he's made all brace".
