I know I couldn't talk about dying to my mother. She had cancer throughout her body and only a few months to live when diagnosed. With radiation she lived a few months longer than that. The only thing I was able to ask her was where she wanted to be buried. It was almost like the cancer wasn't true if we didn't talk about it. I try to be more open with my girls.
