Generaly we would expect 2nd or 3rd weddings to be less formal. But maybe the bride had next to nothing the first time & now wants the big dress & all the trimmings this time around. I have been married 3 times. The first was a full church wedding--small but very triditional. The 2nd was very simple in my new brother in laws house--married by a judge. Later we did have a reception in a rented hall but it was small & low key. My third wedding was what we clled a ble-jeans wedding, We dressed nice but casual & were married by a minister in a pretty city park in CA. Afterwards we had a small quiet reception in the Recreation room of the mobile home park where we were going to live. We strongly suggested no gifts (got a few anyway)--we invited only a few relatives & close friends--just by word of mouth or a ph call.
