I live in a sm Iowa town. From where my apt sets I can look in one direction & see a corn field ! Lots of farm land around this area.
Most of my life in Iowa I have lived in pretty small towns. Once for about a yr I did live in the country in a rented farm house. I love the country liveing --altho it was a bit hard in winter.
I like where I live now. Its quiet--little crime.
Friendly people. Most things I need to shop for are here. Twenty miles away is a bit larger town in two directions with more shopping ect available.
I lived many yrs in CA in a very large town. It had its advantages----exciteing things to see & do. People were less friendly--traffic was a hassle. The crime & gang problems were bad. I moved back to my roots-Iowa--after my husband died in CA. All 4 of my children live here in Iowa & the life style now that I am older is more laid back & peaceful here.
