Career or marriage choices ?
I married the first time at 19--fresh from High school--before I had ever held any kind of job. I dont really regret that marriage as it lasted a long time & gave me 4 beautiful children. But I do regret not getting more education --which I could have pursued even after marriage. Back then there was not a lot of push on girls to go for careers like there is now. Getting married raiseing a family that was often the goal after high school.
I held varous jobs off & on later in life--in Ca I worked first as a part time cook & eventually became a manager in a small Board & Care home. Yes I was good at that job & I enjoyed it. But I could have been good at a better paying job with better benifits ect if I had gotten the education.
