It's not new. I feel like you--why would these young dudes go for an old lady? (72)...but I ran into the same kind of thing twice back when I had webtv. One guy in a group proclaimed he and his housemate (a lady) were in a soulmate relationship, and didn't feel a marriage license would change anything. He went on and was friendly and funny in the group. His lady posted frequently, too. We thought we knew him.

We had a New Years Eve party (all imaginary, of course) and talked about food we'd have there, clothes we would wear to the "evening of NY eve..." and out of the blue, I get this REALLY atrocious suggestive private email from him, and he wanted to 'party with' me! So there's always a weirdo hanging around. I did write back to him once. I told him what I thought of his tomcat ways and that he was likely living off that lady! I think he really was. I left the group.....
