Re: Books--Do you read--do you remember a fav book from childhood ?
I started to read my oldest brother's sci-fi magazines and stories. The first book I read from my teacher's library in 5th grade was Red Planet by Robert A. Heinlein. Then I'd read nothing else but sci-fi until I married and my mother-in-law started sending me historical novels. I remember Victoria Holt and Jean Plaidy were authors. I now read all kinds of stuff and my book club has me reading books I never would have read had it not been for it. For this month it is Catherine the Great by Robert K. Massie. It is a biography and it has been a very interesting read but a huge book with many pages. I'll be glad when I'm done.
