Our next family Chihuahua was a long-hair Chihuahua. Tiny was tan & white or fawn and white as his papers said. He was from a family of show dogs. He looked like a miniature Collie. We had him for a long time, then he got loose from his leash and was run over by a car. It was heartbreaking to lose him, especially in such a tragic way.
Then next Chihuahua I had was shortly after my 2nd husband and I were married. Charlie was black and tan and was actually a Chihuahua-Terrier mix so he was little bigger than most Chihuahuas. He weighed about 8 pounds. He was so cute, sweet and loving. He loved me unconditionally and outlasted 2 husbands!
I was never blessed with any human babies so Charlie was my baby and I loved him so much. He was always there for me. He knew if I didn't feel well or felt sad. He would get on the bed with me and scoot his little body right up against my back as if to say "it's ok Mommy, I'm here for you and everything will be ok" It brings tears to my eyes still just thinking about my sweet little Charlie. I had him for 15 years and my heart was broken when I lost him.☹
I want to adopt a tan and black Chihuahua from a shelter and actually chose a very sweet one but the paperwork between my Doctor and the Managment here at my apartment complex took too long and Kato was adopted by someone else. I had gone to the shelter and spent time with him and really felt he would be coming home with me soon. I was in the process of moving and everything just took too long and Kato went home with someone else...
Someday, I will have another Chihuahua when the time is right...
