Shirley here from N Central Iowa. I have been both divorced & later on widowed --as I married 3 times.
I lived many yrs in CA--then moved back to Iowa after my husband died. Now I live a pretty quiet retired life in a small town with my kitty. I have 2 sons & 2 daughters (all from my first marriage)--three live nearby--one lives in Iowa but about 90 miles from where I live. I have a LOT of grandkids & many gr grands.
In CA I worked for many yrs in a Board & Care home for elderly & disabled people & also some in home private care jobs for elderly folks. Now I am the elderly one !! I turned 80 yrs old last summer.
My favorite hobby is making hand made greeting cards. Do a few other crafts. My eyes are getting bad so that limits some of what I can now do.
Of my original family (my parents divorced) I was the oldest child--& it seems odd to me that I am still here--as both my 2 brothers & one sister who were younger --have all passed away. Not how I expected life to turn out. I do have 2 half sisters & a half brother in TX from my Dads re-marriage.I do have frequent contact with them by phone & mail.
